Autonomous Vessels
Base Specifications and Features
The ZeroJet system offers a range of advanced features designed for seamless integration into autonomous vessels. At its core, the standard jet unit includes a CAN throttle interface, allowing for precise control and reverse actuation output. It also provides flexibility with an option for low-power operation using third-party batteries, making it adaptable to various power configurations and mission requirements.
To operate effectively, the parent system must provide essential functionalities such as steering and override capabilities, as well as integration with the vessel's navigation systems. For safety, the system requires a kill switch output, which enhances operational security by feeding directly into the kill switch mechanism. Additionally, the ZeroJet system offers two battery options: a low-speed configuration, capable of reaching up to 8 knots, and a full specification option with 350A continuous power, allowing speeds of up to 20 knots. Both battery options utilise a CAN open interface for smooth integration into the vessel’s overall system.

Why ZeroJet?
For more information or discuss an upcoming project get in touch below.
-
ZeroJet’s design features no exposed propellers, reducing the risk of injury and debris damage, making it ideal for search and rescue operations.
-
Eliminates common propeller issues like entanglement, offering durable performance even in tough marine environments. Closed loop cooling requires require little maintenance.
-
The modular design and electronic controls allow easy customisation, optimising ZeroJet’s performance for specialised tasks and missions.
-
10cm draft. ZeroJet excels in shallow waters and tight spaces, perfect for tasks like river mapping and coastal monitoring.
-
With rapid acceleration and manoeuvrability, ZeroJet is well-suited for time-sensitive operations such as military patrols and search-and-rescue missions.
-
100% electric. Minimises disturbance to marine environments, supporting eco-sensitive zones and sustainable practices.
-
ZeroJet’s tight turning capabilities and smooth directional changes make it highly efficient in narrow channels and complex environments.
